Gourmet Tours Burgundy On A Plate Guided tours exploring the best of Burgundy’s wine and food Capture the essence of Burgundy with a guided tour of the famous wine growing areas and meet the artisan food producers and chefs of the region with Burgundy on a Plate’s guided trips. Ranging from one to five days, with flexible itineraries, these are private, small tours which will take you to exclusive tastings when you will meet the growers, learn about the ‘terroir’ and walk in such famous vineyards as Puligny Montrachet or Gevrey-Chambertin.
One Day Tours Flexibility is the keynote. You can take a one day wine tour, choosing between three of the famous wine growing areas, the Côte de Beaune and Hautes Côtes de Beaune, the Côtes de Nuits and the Chalonnaise. If you think that a whole day on wine is too much, you can combine the tour with a visit to a cheese maker, take a cookery lesson with a local chef in the restaurant kitchen or in his private kitchen, visit photogenic medieval villages or learn about truffles in the season. These one day tours include lunch and are priced between 245 and 345 euros per person depending on the options you choose and are limited to groups made up of six or eight guests. As an example, the half day cooking course with lunch followed by an afternoon of wine tasting costs 345 euros per person for a couple or 299 euros per person for four people. five day Tours To really get to know this wonderful wine growing area, Burgundy on a Plate offers a five day tour combining visits to small, historic cellars where you meet and talk to the growers, plus trips to the cheese makers and markets. Starting from the centre of Beaune each day, six to eight guests travel in an air conditioned bus. All tastings are included in the price, plus three lunches and two dinners, one of which takes place in a Michelin starred restaurant. Price: 1.775 TTC euros per person.
