Mind, Body & Spirit

‘It is only when body, mind and spirit are balanced together in perfect harmony that true well-being is achieved’

Spirituality in Burgundy France

Burgundy, a place of spirituality over the centuries, has much to offer the traveller in the search ‘wellness’ where mind, body and spirit are balanced together. From the Buddhist Temple of Dashang Kagu Ling outside Autun to the pilgrim route from Vézelay to Santiago de Compostela; the thermal waters at Bourbon Lancy, to a simple body massage with plant extracts, or a serious monastery retreat or meditation; the choice is yours. Here’s our self-help guide.

Back in 2004, The Wellcome Trust presented an exhibition ‘Asia, Mind, Body, Spirit’. Succinctly, it outlined pointers to help keep your body in sync in order to achieve ‘wellness’. Whether you are looking at eastern or western ideology, the principles are much the same. In ‘How to Achieve Wellness’, the basic ideas are outlined.
