You will find some of the most beautiful villages in France in Burgundy. There's Vézelay of course and visit the fortified towns of Semur-en-Auxois, the villages of Montréal and Flavigny-sur-Ozerain, the half-timbered houses in Noyers with windows brimming with geraniums, and the château towns of Châteauneuf-en-Auxois and Brancion.

Brancion		Châteauneuf-en-Auxois
Resembling a medieval film set, all that’s missing is the actors.		Fairytale turreted towers from the 12thC set the scene. This is voted one of France’s most beautiful villages.

Flavigny-sur-Ozerain		Montréal
This picturesque village, high on a rock, was a fortified town in the Middle Ages.		Perched on a hill overlooking the Serein valley, Montréal has a charm all of its own.

Noyers		Semur-en-Brionnais
Half-timbered houses and windows spilling over with geraniums…		Honey coloured buildings, vine-clad hillsides and a 9th C keep; this village has the oldest château in Burgundy.
