VÉronique Giarrusso – Painter

Véronique Giarrusso’s work is evocative and full of feminine mystique. Whilst not exactly religious, there is a deep spirituality and gentleness about her subjects.

Born in Auxerre, Veronique continued her art education in Scarborough and in Bath in England studying painting, sculpture and print-making. She has been exhibiting there and in France since 1990. Her most recent shows have been in the Ginger Gallery, Bristol, England and in Auxerre and Avallon in the Yonne in Burgundy. Her work is also in numerous private collections in the USA, Australia, Japan and Spain. She has lived in in Bessy-sur-Cure since 2001.

Chemin II		Lune et Lumière

In Burgundy she runs very successful art workshops for children and adults and has taught painting and etching. Her prizes include an illustration award from ‘ELLE’ magazine in England for a new edition of cards depicting the signs of the zodiac. She has had commissions for numerous illustrations – including one to illustrate a children’s book “The Blue Pearls – les perles bleues”, published in England, and a very popular range of greetings cards are available featuring her work.
