Les Greniers - The Haylofts La Motte Ternant, near Saulieu Across the road from the chambres d’hôtes La Chouette qui Chante, John and Annemarie Williams have done an excellent barn conversion making two light and spacious contemporary apartments. The views are across open countryside to the quintessentially Burgundian church on the hill. The self contained apartments are on the first floor. Each is an open plan living space with wood block flooring and oak beams up to the apex of the building. There is a kitchen area, dining section and relaxing space with sofa bed. The bedroom is comfortable and airy and each apartment has a state of the art wet room with shower, basin and WC.
By contrast, the downstairs area is rustic with a large dining table, laundry facilities and shaded parking. Outside there is a secluded garden and a barbecue area. And if you have had enough of preparing meals, Annemarie offers dinner in the main house on request. La Motte Ternant is ideally placed for touring. Fontenay Abbey, Semur-en-Auxois, Saulieu and Château Bussy-Rabutin are just some of the attractions, with Beaune an easy drive down the road. John and Annemarie will guide you as to where to play golf and go walking. Price per week Each apartment costs 385€ per week from Saturday to Saturday Bookings
