This little hamlet, just inside the Morvan Forest boundary, is ideally situated for walking, touring and relaxing. Annemarie and John Williams live in Les Bordes on the edge of the pretty village of La Motte-Ternant on the River Serein. Their home, an old merchant's house has elegant rooms with corniced ceilings and tall windows, with lovely views across the undulating countryside. They have decorated it to enhance the natural light, with shades of white, natural floor coverings from stone and tiles to wood and jute. ![]() Elegant and stylish decoration In this uncluttered atmosphere, they welcome guests to their chambres d'hôte - three guest rooms, one with new shower room en suite, the others sharing a new bathroom. Guests have use of the living areas and the two-acre garden which has mature trees for shade and relaxation. Keen to impart their local knowledge, Annemarie and John will show you the walks around the area, advise on vineyard trips and local events.
