Auberge de la Beursaudière Just south of Auxerre, there's no chance of waking up here and wondering which country you are staying in: this is rural France to be sure. Combined with the stone walls and farming implements
for decoration, there are charming details everywhere you look from
the curtain accessories to the pottery. The best of the The Auberge is eight minutes from the A6 motorway exit at Nitry making it an ideal stopover. It is also very centrally placed for exploring central Burgundy including some of the gems, Chablis, the Château of Ancy-le-Franc and the Abbey of Fontenay. Apart from the good accommodation and convenient location, the restaurant at the Auberge is excellent. In fact there are several dining rooms, each with plenty of atmosphere, and at weekends and holidays, they are packed out with locals. The stone ‘cave’ has a particularly special ambience. The food is well priced and not overwhelming. Bookings Room for two from 82 euros, breakfast 12 euros. |
